In partnership with close physical therapy, we also offer physical therapy services, including rehabilitation for surgeries or injuries, as well as strengthening and respiratory therapy. Elder Care
At Professional Healthcare Services (PHS), we are dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate home health care to the elderly and disabled. Our goal is to provide all the necessary services to help our clients achieve this objective.
Customized Care
Many times individuals initially may only need minimal services, however as they get older they may require additional help. In other situations they may come home from the hospital or from outpatient surgery and have a need for significant services, but as they get stronger they may not need as much help. In either case PHS can provide THE CARE NEEDED. Our customized care program is developed based on the needs and desires of our clients.
Infusion Therapy
Professional Healthcare Services’ (PHS) nurses are trained to administer various infusion therapy, methodologies, products and services. These infusion therapies are provided on an intermittent basis and include evaluating, planning and providing nursing care in the home to promote the health, rehabilitation or maintenance services needed by the patient based on the physician’s orders.
Our skilled nursing staff is well trained and competent to develop and implement a nursing plan of care while keeping the physician informed of the patient’s response to medications and treatments. PHS also provides self injection training for individuals.
Wound Care

Our skilled nurses are qualified to provide evaluation and management of wounds, prevention of pressure ulcers, and the staging of pressure wounds. Based on physicians’ orders skilled nurses manage and direct our wound care program and constantly inform the patient, family and physician of progress. Wound care, especially in a home care setting, is a special need and skill. We at PHS are committed to achieve to the best possible result for each and every patient and have a strong track record in wound care treatment.
Workers' Compensation Care
Professional Healthcare Services (PHS) provides medical care, including physical therapy, for employees who are injured in the course of employment. Physical therapy is provided in partnership with CLOSE PHYSICAL THERAPY. Physical therapy services will include rehabilitation from injuries, strengthening and respiratory physical therapy. PHS specializes in providing care to injured workers, in the patient's own home, during a period of rehabilitation or longer if medically indicated... PHS provides any and all care needed by an injured worker in a home care setting.
Our agency works with the patient, family, physician and the workers comp insurer for the best possible result for each injured worker.
Tracheostomy Care
Our goal at Professional Healthcare Services (PHS), a home health care agency, is to focus on patient independence which enables the patient to remain in their own home. In most cases the tracheostomy enables the person to function more normally allowing them to breathe easier. Our skilled nurses maintain the artificial airways to prevent serious, sometimes life threatening problems.
PHS skilled nurses are trained to use standard techniques including:
- Assessment and evaluation
- Suctioning

- Dressing changes
- Change inner cannula

Patient Education
As a Home Health Care agency, Professional Healthcare Services (PHS) has developed relationships with various healthcare professionals and organizations, including pharmaceutical companies, pharmacies, and patient advocacy organizations to educate patients regarding disease management and medications prescribed by their treating physicians.
These medications are prescribed to treat Multiple Sclerosis. Psoriasis and Rheumatoid Arthritis are diseases which may be treated with Enbrel. PHS has embraced the concept of educating patients to self inject various medications such as:
